Are we heading for another Nam?

I know that what I am about to say is going to piss off the Obamanates that will call me wrong and bias… Oh well!

Since Obama took over the Presidency it appears that the troops are losing their moral fast than ever. The fact is they are now losing their moral even faster since Obama won’t just state he will or won’t send troops to the battlefront. He has put such a political spin on the whole war that he won’t just send the troops that the Generals have requested. As a former sailor, this makes the troops feel that their call for re-enforcements is not going to come and they will have to fight harder with less troops and no chance to win. This is kind of what happened in Vietnam when the politicians chose to play manning and equipment games.  As such it give the troops the appearance that the White House is not going to allow them to complete the tasks they signed up for and that they are being used as a tool.

Obama needs to listen to his Generals and send more troops to allow them to complete the tasks that were proven to work in Iraq. He does not need to have weeks worth of meetings with non-military czars. As I heard this morning, I would not be surprised that the top General, Gen. McChrystal would not resign if the troops are not approved or takes to long to get. I would not blame him for doing so as I don’t believe any man would want to be apart of the deaths of young heroes when he can’t even obtain the required number of troops he needs.
