Time to Stand Up!
Over the years I have noticed that anytime a person of liberal thinking dislikes a policy of the government they get up, create liberate sign, dress in eye catching clothes, grabs a handful of friends and family, then head to the street corner to protest. But when do you see conservatives do that? No, instead they tend to only write emails and letters to the editor or to the representatives. They tend to be more worried about others finding out about their views and ending up on the street corner looking for a job instead.
It seems that in today’s world, most conservatives are more worried about what others view them as than how to speak up and be noticed. Where is the sacrifice that created this country that the patriots of the founding had? Many of those patriots lost their entire life savings, homes, and even family members, and not just because of being killed but because of loyalties to the cause. Like Benjamin Franklin, when the war started he never spoke to his son again because his son was a loyalist and fought for the British.
So what is my point here? It is simple. If we conservatives want to bring this country back to the greatness that it once was, then we need to be willing to sacrifice out time, money, and possibly even family ties as the founding fathers did over 236 years ago.
One other thing, those conservatives that are religious need not be afraid of praying for this country during those protest. Lets start asking God to bless this country as he had in the past. Ask him for the help to bring it back to the values, morals and Christian beliefs it was once founded on and our leaders prayed for on April 30, 1789 when our first President lead the entire Congress and Senate in prayer at a little stone church in New York. (http://www.archives.gov/legislative/features/gw-inauguration/)
To clarify, yes I know many conservatives do make sacrifices, but not most. According to reports and surveys I have seen, most Americans are conservatives and feel their rights are being taken away but do nothing to bring change.

Where is the Great Nation?
Sadly this video speaks volumes of truth. As I blogged earlier this week, we have lost many of those rights due to our fears. Fears that are being instilled in us by those people on both side of the political aisle. It has lead us to a nanny state where the government has created generations of people that believe that the government will save them from what every offends them or may hurt them and yet they have allowed the very government to dumb down their education and that of the coming generations. So how are we going to become the Great Nation that our Founding Fathers created and our grandfathers help defend?

Where’s the 4th Amendment?
Senate bill rewrite lets feds read your e-mail without warrants | Politics and Law – CNET News:
Domestic Drones | American Civil Liberties Union:
Drones In U.S.: More Unmanned Aircraft Will Be Flying In Domestic Airspace By 2015 (VIDEO):
Who Is Flying Drones Over America? – NYTimes.com:
Drones in America: Where’s The Outrage? : Information Clearing House:
As my title for this posts asks, “Where’s the 4th Amendment?” When did it become ok for the government on any level, from local to federal get to bypass the US Constitution? Unless I fall asleep and missed something, the 4th Amendment still states that no person or his effects be searched or seized without a warrant unless there is a probable cause.
Amendment IV: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
I know and yes I have heard the repeated comments, “Well if you haven’t broken any laws why worry about it…” Well maybe because I shouldn’t have to worry about a government spying on my everyday life. Honest citizen or not is not why the Founding Fathers created the 4th Amendment, it was the fact that they knew that if a government was allowed to search and seize a person or his effects that the government was starting to become a tyrannical over sized government. They knew from experience that a government that could seize your property was government that control your life.
If you read through my list of links, you can see that today the Senate is looking at passing a bill that would allow the government to simply issue a subpoena and then read your emails. Unlike a warrant like the Constitution states to be used with a judge’s signature, a subpoena doesn’t have a check and balance to prevent criminal mischief or tyranny, That means if an officer doesn’t like you, or maybe really likes you, he or she can simply get a subpoena to read your email to get more information on you. No need for a check into what may or may not be a crime by a judge. I will say that at least this bill does require a subpoena…
Now with drones, that is an out right slap to the Constitution. This is one of the times when I actually agree with the ACLU… How is to legal for a law enforcement agency to fly small remote controlled planes over your house, some possibly with x-rays, looking for a possible crime to be commented. No warrant or subpoena required even though the Constitution states that searches of a person, his house, papers, and effect require a warrant unless probably cause is there. I agree that drones can be useful to law enforcement in the case of tracking a car chase or a known criminal running from a crime scene or even a hostage situation it makes since.
I understand the many people want to ensure that criminals are brought to justice, that they want to see the honest person being able to live a full and happy life… But at what cost to your freedoms?

It’s not outdated
News Story: ‘We the People’ Loses Appeal With People Around the World – NYTimes.com:
This liberals that keep telling us that the Constitution is dead and no long in step with the times need to move. They need to move to the countries that they so long to make the US into. Quit comparing the US to the rest of the world and move. I say this because unlike most of the rest of the world’s governments, the US Constitution give us the freedoms that they don’t.
They let us raise or fall according to our own paths and choices!
Sure most of us won’t be the mega millionaires. Sure some of us will be on the bottom and fighting for every last penny. But if you send own up to your own mistakes and work hard you can raise up from where you started from. Part of that is to hold your elected official accountable. From the school board on up! Make them accountable for their actions and vote them out when they are not working for you.
Stop thinking that the government owes you a damn thing! Like President Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country and do for you, but what you can do for your country.” That meant that you should be the one that makes your government work to make the country a better place and not the government make your living conditions better by way of welfare, food stamps, and now healthcare. No it meant for your to use your freedoms to better your own life by making the government have a budget, keep taxes low, and protect us in the US before other countries.
But no the liberal leftist in the world, including the US want you to become the little puppy that looks towards the master to provide everything. From food to healthcare and etc, they want you to look towards them. The Constitution was not made for the government to provide everything because the founding fathers knew that true freedom comes from a people that controls the government and provides for themselves.

Fear driving the American People
U.S. Warns Airlines on Human Bomb Implants – WSJ.com:
So how far is this all going to go before the American people say ENOUGH!
Why is it that we are allowing more and more invasion of our privacy and freedoms go as the dodo bird for such little security?
First they said you needed to throw away the snow globes and shampoo bottles because they may be explosive material. Then came intrusive body scanners and full body pat downs. Pat downs of not just the average man or woman but of 2 year olds and grandma. So now they are worried about the implant bombs…
Does this surprise me? Hell no! People are acting like a bunch of sheep. They can’t think for themselves and trust the government to hand them everything. But what they need to do is open their eyes and read the history of the founding fathers and why they never want and warned about big government. They also need to review the security policies of Israel and see that the country with enemies at its door deals with security in the their airports.
Hint.. it has to do with Israel doing what would bring a huge up roar… profiling people on their looks and emotional state. They don’t create huge bottlenecks of 5 or 6 plane loads of people at a few metal detectors and x-ray machines. A place where one al Qaeda bomb needs to only walk into the middle and… Boom! No more people at a higher death rate.
“They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security” Benjamin Franklin

My Way News – Student files lawsuit over FBI’s GPS tracking
News Story: My Way News – Student files lawsuit over FBI’s GPS tracking.
What happened to the Forth Amendment?
Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Sure I understand watching and monitoring people that are possible suspects in crimes or terrorist plots. I understand that some people many fit a profile and prompts the FBI and DHS to feel the need to monitor them. No problem with that… The problem is that if we are to keep and maintain a Federal Republic that the Constitution created and the Founding Fathers promised, then the government must follow the laws that had been set forth over 200 years ago.
What does that mean? Simple… If there isn’t enough evidence for a search warrant, then do the old fashion foot work to obtain one. Do the tailing of the suspect. Do the monitoring of their trash on trash day. Those are things that don’t require a search warrant. Then when they find what they need for a judge to sign a warrant then place the bugs and etc.
So what is the problem if you have nothing to hide? I have heard this before and asked in return, “If it doesn’t matter why did the Founding Fathers believe it was needed in the Forth Amendment?” It is really a simple reason. Before the Revolutionary War the the British Army at anytime were allowed to enter any home without cause and search for whatever they wanted to. No reason needed. This in turn meant no freedom or security in your own home. So why would you want to now give you a large portion of that freedom in place of false security?

Have they forgotten our history?
News Story: Lawmakers consider new curbs on incendiary speech – TheHill.com:
It appears that the Democrats really have not read the history of this country and understand why the first amendment was put in place. It wasn’t to allow the government to censor our words but to allow us to speak freely. Granted if you are going to threaten someone you should be investigated. But the founding fathers and the other countrymen learned just how important to be able to speak opening without the government censoring it. That is why the founding fathers placed freedom of speech in the First Amendment.
What’s worse is that these Democrats are allowing one person to change our laws even though there is nothing that is directing him to what either parties have said. Funny thing is that they are also only pointing to the right when the current President has made more threats than most. “They bring a knife to the fight and we will bring a gun…” President Obama during his campaign. Most information that has been released in fact shows that this nutcase murder followed the extreme left than anyone else.
Either way, the point is that we can not and should not allow one nut job change our laws. The First Amendment or the Second.
