News Story: Too Much Of A Good Thing | The New Republic:

Typical liberal view when things don’t go smooth. I agree that what John Adams said is true, but not because the process of democracy… Nope it is because the government changed the process to form a bigger government.

What do I mean?  Simply that the process was originally set up so that only one house of Congress was elected by the people and one was elected or appointed by the state legislators. In this way the House of Representatives was the true voice of the people and the Senate was the voice of the states. That meant that the House of Representatives would do the will of the people they were elected to to represent and the Senate would do the will of the states. As such the Senate was less of politically driven part of the government and more in ensuring the state power and rights were protected. Whereas today their is nothing but career politicians that vote down the political line of the parties that are a part of.

By making both houses electable by the people it basically created a force that creates bigger and bigger government by the both houses politicians buying votes to stay in office. Lets face it, most people in the country vote more for the person or party that they feel gives them the most. They are more willing to except a candidates negatives if they are given something, tax break, welfare, grants or etc. Most Americans today won’t hold their chosen candidate accountable for his/her records in Congress.

Now reading history, what John Adams was talking about was the fact that like most democratic governments will over time kill themselves by voting themselves benefits. They will vote for the government to give them more and more until it breaks the country. They will start to blame everything on the other side and raise taxes to the point that no one, the people, the employers, or government can afford to pay their bills or taxes.

Hmm. Sounds pretty close to what is happening today.

News Story: My Way News – Congress punts tough choice until after election.

Yep the democrats are on the move… They wanted to get out of town and not cost themselves more problems both doing their actual jobs. So they rushed a stopgap budget to keeps the government running but does nothing to create a new budget. Funny how they know they can get the votes for passing laws when they want to but blame the republicans when their party members won’t vote straight with the Democratic party…

Those of you that still want to blame the Republicans… Shut Up! The current balance of power is completely Democrats right now. If they wanted to pass any and all laws the Republican couldn’t even keep and filibuster going if they wanted too.

No this leaving town is about Democrats that are losing their seats and they need the time to repair their campaigns before the November elections. They didn’t want to have people second guessing their votes on the budget, new laws, or even the ethics of two of their members. They are in  a panic of losing the House and Senate. Nothing more or less.

News Story: Republicans fail to stop Gitmo transfers into US:

So this vote was a non-issue according to Rep. Dan Maffei. Okay then why even send them to the US for a trial? Never mind the fact that those great people tried to kill or did kill some of our great Americans that fought against them. Sorry people, these are not US citizens that just robbed a convenience store. No they are combatants that we are at war with. They did not comment crimes, they are POWs.

Why is it that the leftist in Congress think that the Constitution covers everyone in the world, that is except when it is an actual American citizen. You know that is when the leftist think European laws are much better to rule with. No where in our Constitution does it say We the People of the World…. No where in the Constitution does it say that enemies against the US should get special treatment when they try to kill our Heroes in a battle field. No where in the Constitution does it even say that a traitor on the country should get special treatment under the Constitution as an American citizen. Yet, we have given special trials to the traitors that fought against us here and now we will give those that were never citizens the same special treatment.

What should happen if the leftist were to follow the Constitution correctly… First there would be no shipping to the US. Second, there would have been no shipping to Getmo. Third the trial they would have already had would have been in front of a few high ranking officer of the branches of the US military in a military tribunal. Forth, some of these terrorist would have already been swing from a rope. 

Isn’t there a war, recession, unemployment to worry about?

Let’s see… War needs more troops, recession and unemployment, but the most important thing in the country is to bring the Olympics to Chicago. Never mind the cost of flying Michelle on a charter flight with her Secret Service agents, then flying Barrack over on Air Force One and his protection…. Nope money well spent on a feel good pat of the back trip. But wait a second!!! No one told the IOC that the savior was going to being there, or did they know and chose vote on value to a country. Not to mention, I guess it doesn’t help to have a teenage beat to death only a few days before voting on the location either.

I am just SOoooo thankful that Michelle was willing to suffer so much to try to bring the Olympics to the US. I mean jumping on a small little chart plane (747) and then having to shop in Denmark’s high end stores… Oh!!! Don’t forget having to visit all those peasants of the Royal families of Spain, Denmark and others… It must have been just so hard on her..
