Why not. It was change after the first 127 years of the Constitution? Its call educating the people to all the facts and not giving into partial truths. I had to learn this 25 years after getting out of high school and that is sad.

You are very correct about the fact hollow points do stop or lose much of their power after hitting it target. I guess my point was more about the fact that if we allow these left wingers start to misinform the public about bullets in general and create scary words attached to bullets it will only increase their grabbing power like they have with semi-auto rifles. If we allow it, before we know it they will limit every bullet and leave us shooting musket balls again.

One other point about hollow points, and it’s a big one! Hollow points are designed to mushroom upon impact, so not only do they do more damage to an intruder. BUT, they also won’t go through and impact something else behind them like a FMJ round will (I.e. Innocent bystanders or your neighbors wall).
